Alia Bhatt Accuses Media of Privacy Breach, Draws Support From Fellow Actors

Renowned actress Alia Bhatt accused the media of invading her privacy on February 22, 2023. According to reports, two individuals from an adjacent building took her picture while she was sitting in her living room, and posted it online without her consent. In a show of solidarity, Alia’s friends, family, and colleagues in the film industry, including Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Neetu Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Swara Bhasker, voiced their support for her. Anushka and Janhvi also shared similar experiences of privacy invasion and condemned such behavior.

“Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me…. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed?” Tagging the Mumbai police, she added, “This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy and it’s safe to say all lines were crossed today! @mumbaipolice.”
