Veteran actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik died on March 8 after a massive heart attack. After attending a Holi party at veteran lyricist Javed Akthar’s house, he came to Delhi to meet his friends. He complained of restlessness and uneasiness while breathing and was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to a heart attack on the way. The actor’s postmortem was done at Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, and now the mortal remains will be taken to Mumbai, where his last rites will be held.

He has worked on a variety of films. He is best known for his comic roles as ‘Calendar’ in ‘Mr. India’ and ‘Pappu Pager’ in ‘Deewana Mastana,’ among many others. He also gave sterling performances in other films like ‘Ram Lakhan’ and ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’. He directed films like ‘Roop Ki Rani, Choron Ka Raja’, ‘Prem’, ‘Hum Aapke Dil Me Rehte Hain,’ and ‘Tere Sang’, among many others.

The entire film industry is deeply shocked by the sudden demise of the veteran actor. Many have said, “An era of effortless acting, incredible comic timing, and impeccable screen presence came to an end with the demise of this legendary actor.”
